The title of the talk will be "The Portuguese Dairy Ranchers of Southern Marin: A Landscape of Memory." &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Before the post-war suburbanization of Marin, dairy ranches covered much of the slopes and valleys south of Mount Tamalpais.  For nearly a century the majority of those ranches were operated by immigrants from Azores, nine small islands in the middle of the Atlantic.
